This would fit perfectly in a puzzle game; it would work pretty well for the "building defenses" between waves in a Tower Defense game; or, if you softened everything up a bit and delayed the attack of the pitched percussion (to eliminate the hard hits), I reckon it could work well in an exploratory RPG (like Skyrim).

I love your use of dissonance; the string melodies are particularly noteworthy in how they create an almost Discovery Channel-like sense of wonder. The brass stabs could use a bit of work (maybe a little more reverb, maybe layered with some more instruments) as they sound less realistic when they're compared to the harpsichord, pitched and unpitched percussion, and strings playing behind them.

BenTibbetts responds:

Thanks very much!

This is a really, really relaxing beat, Rama. Do you mind if I record over it? (I promise the lyrics will be better than my usual tracks!)

Crueltool responds:

Yeaahh!! Keep record man, and send the link after))
good luck

Justin Simon's Diss:
Periphial? I think you meant peripheral: periphial isn't a word. Your flow is a little off-beat at the beginning of the track, and you have more than your fair share of poor enunciation, too: for example, 0:19-0:20, 0:29-0:30, and 0:42-0:44.

Fat Beats' Diss:
If your mic popped any more, my speakers would probably blow out. Your punches stood out more, and you definitely brought the comedy at the expense of your opponent (which is usually my tactic, but it never works); the abortion repetition at the end was stupid and unnecessary, though.

Winner: FatBeats.

Don't worry, Justin, you're still a winner compared to "DJ Ses" and his magical crew of morons.

Thanks for the vote.

This is really good, man. Your submissions are always dope.

SonicWombat responds:

Thanks. I love you.

I nearly, NEARLY, didn't recognize the music box and zombie noises from Call of Duty: World at War :P

Poniiboi responds:

They are mixed quite nicely in there. Thank xSentinel for that.

You wanted feedback, Teq... what can I say?

My only criticism is that Flex went off beat toward the end of his verse. That's the only criticism I have for Flex: his disses were great, and pretty personal. Since there's no second verse for him to flip lines, his flips on Teq's name were very entertaining.

Teqneek man, you came harder than you've ever come before in a battle. Your punches were really good, your flow was on point. If I had one piece of advice, it'd be to change up your flow a little bit: all your battle raps seem to have "this / KIND of a FLOW" to them, where the first and fourth syllable of each phrase is emphasized.

Clarity and enunciation on both sides were very nice, AxTekk/AKACATTACK did a good job mixing both emcees fairly, and the disses were good from both sides.

This was way better than any of the CLABTRAP battles so far, I'm calling a tie.

AKACCMIOF responds:

Flex - 0
Teq - 0
AxCCMIOF - 1

Thanks for the detailed review! It's absolutely true, the middleman was insanely good. This would be nothing without him. MadFleX and Teqneek would be nothing without him.

The amount of talent demonstrated in SwagClab is incredible, but not surprising.

AxTekk responds:

SwagClab moar lyk SwagGai LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

tvJohnny has diamonds on his rims, but MilkDud has diamonds on his PT Cruiser. This battle is too close to call.

tvjonny come get some PUNK!

Here are the lyrics from my verses:

[Verse One - Rampant]
"Mr. In-depth Metaphors"
The only thing you've taken in-depth and intense
Is your dad's cockâEU¦ or was it your mom's?
Have they legalized gay marriage in whatever shit state you're from?
I met with Rick Santorum: he claims he's pro-life, right?
Five minutes on your profile and he changed his mind
I guess inevitably all these politicians flip-flop
But he heard you rapping
And wanted you to stop before you were born
"It's the Ron Paul Revolution!"
Excuse me - the Rampant Evolution; don't mind the intrusion
My final solution's a personal recipe: half pound of ground beef,
3/4 cup internal rhyme scheme, 1/3 of a cup of fresh-packed beat
(And not the kind of canned shit you usually get for free)
Bake for 20 minutes on high heat
So good, your first 16 will have to be my verse set on repeat

[Verse Three - Rampant]
Hot damn, how could you be so monotone?
I'm spittin' color, this motherfucker spits monochrome
You open your mouth, I yawn, the audience groans
Shoulda postponed your drone and come up with some better punches to throw
The first time I heard of Blest was in 2010
Immediately wanted to put a bullet through my own head
So I did, and now I'm back from the dead
Hauntin' this ghost of a rapper who's no better now than he was back then
"Your career and your rhymes are stagnant, scant"
And I'm sorry, what's so fucking hard to understand?
Red: do you think I could get a first-round transplant;
Battle a rapper who's more worthy of my time than this man?
If I'm the aggressor, I'll fuck with your mind like Escher
Take you to school, 'cos the professor is in
And your shitty rhythms are a disease on my ears as
Stephen Hawking has more voice modulation than you have

Good luck, Blest.

BigRed responds:

For the record, I generally prefer that you do not post lyrics like this. If you need to clarify a line or two that's fine but don't post the whole thing like this.
